Day 1 Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station to Phuentsholing - Pick up from IXB/NJP & Transfer to Phuentsholing (154 KMS / 4.5 HRS)
Meet & greet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and drive towards the Indo - Bhutanese Border Phuentsholing through the Tea
Estates. After reaching Phuentsholing check in to the Hotel & evening for Leisure.
You can visit ZangthoPelri Park on your own in the evening. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 2 Phuentsholing to Thimphu Transfer (163 KMS / 4.5 HRS) + Enroute Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. You will be received by our Guide / Representative at the hotel and will be taken to
the immigration counter to complete your formalities. Once the permit is issued
your journey will be started towards Thimphu.
Enroute we visit Kharbandi Gompa - built by the Royal Grandmother as her winter residence. Again we will stop over
Chuzom , the meeting point of two rivers.
The two rivers on the left is Pachu(Paro) coming from the glacier of Mountain Jomolhari (7314m-24,000 feet above sea
level.)
On the right, Wangchu comes from Thimphu valley. We can see four different types of stupas; Nepali type of stupa,
Rigsum Gompo, Tibetan type of stupa and Bhutanese style stupa built in the 1960s.
Reach Thimphu in the evening.

Day 3 Thimphu- Local Sightseeing
After breakfast you will be transferred to the following places.
Simply Bhutan - A Living Museum - Simply Bhutan is a living museum which gives the tourists a taste of Bhutanese
lifestyle. You get to dress up, distill arak,
try your hand at archery - in short everything that the natives do. The museum has an inspiring program of engaging
Bhutanese youth in the preservation of local culture, one of the four
tenets of Gross Happiness Product that the Wangchuks and Bhutan itself has come to embody
Kuensel Phodrang-Buddha Point - The statue was cast in bronze in China and transported by sea and road to this site
once occupied by the palace of Druk Desi, a secular ruler of Bhutan in the
eighteenth-century. At its completion, the statue will contain 125,000 gilded Buddha statues and a wealth of other
statuary.
Handicrafts Market - An interesting market with local items and bargain price handicraft goods.
Later in the evening, proceed to visit TashichoeDzong (Fortress of Glorious Religion).
Takin Reserve & Mini Zoo - Add to Wish List Hidden in a fold of the forest-draped hills high above Thimphu, a herd of
takin make their home in the Motithang Takin
Preserve. Formerly a small zoo, the king decreed that the animals should be freed rather than kept in captivity.
However, instead of wandering deeper into the hills, the tame takin took to the
streets of Thimphu, where they became a traffic hazard as they foraged for food.
The National Memorial Chorten : Built-in the memory of the third Druk Gyalpo (Head of Kingdom) of Bhutan, the National
Memorial Chorten is devoted to World Peace.
The Chorten is popular amongst the localities for various major Buddhist religious festivals and it is one of the best
places to see in Thimphu Bhutan.
Tashichho Dzong - The “fortress of the glorious religion” was initially erected in 1641 and rebuilt by King Jigme Dorji
Wangchuck in the 1960s. Tashichho Dzong houses some ministries,
His Majesty's secretariat, and the central monk body
Later, drive to Sangaygang view point (2685 meters) to have a view of the whole Thimphu valley and walk through hundreds
of colourful prayer flags that dot the hill overlooking the valley.
Later, return to the hotel.

Day 4 Thimphu to Punakha valley transfer via Dochula
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Punakha. En-route visit - DochuLa - A mountain pass leading
further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning 360 degree
panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snow
capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the
108 chortens gracing the mountain pass.

Punakha Dzong : Also known as the palace of great happiness, Punakha Dzong is located at the confluence of the Pho
Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (mother) rivers in the Punakha-Wangdue valley. This Dzong is the most picturesque of all
Bhutan ancient fortresses and it joins the mainland by an arched wooden bridge that contains many precious relics from
the days when successive kings reigned the Kingdom from this Punakha valley.
Suspension Bridge - This hidden treasure in the Punakha Valley connects the rest of the valley to the old administrative
center of Punakha Dzongkhag. The whole deck is covered with prayer flags and provides a perfect spot for bird watching
and photography.

Day 5 Punakha to Paro - Punakha Local Sightseeing + Paro Transfer(126 KMS / 3.5 HRS)

After Breakfast leave for Punakha Local sightseeing. After sightseeing you'll be dropped to the Paro hotel.
Chimi Lhakhang - Stationed at the top of a hillock, the Chimi Lhakhang is a site dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley.
Known as the 'Divine Madman,' Lama Drukpa Kuenley is said to use songs, humor,
and outrageous behavior to preach his teachings. Chimi Lhakhang temple is believed to be the temple of fertility, and
the Bhutanese hold a strong belief that childless couples are blessed by Lama Drukpa Kuenley if they visit the temple
and pray for a child. The road to the temple follows a picturesque rural trail through the paddy field that takes
visitors to the temple from the road, and after crossing the paddy field, you will find a tiny stream from where Chimi
Lhakhang is just a short climb away. Later proceed for Paro via Dochula & Simtokha Dzong.
Paro Brewery - Visit the local beer brewery at Paro to get a tour of a traditional Bhutanese Beer brewery. The entire
process of brewing will be shown and explained.

Day 6 Paro - Chele-La Pass Excursion
Drive to Chele la-la pass (3988 m),Drive to Chele pass is a favourite place for many visitors and is one of highest
motor able passes in the country.
For the Buddhists, it is also a sacred place to festoon the pass with prayer flags. For naturalists, the Chele la ridge
offers gardens of Himalayan flowers, plants and of special pheasant species. Water is scarce on these ridges and it is
recommended to have enough water supplies with you.
Later, visit Paro Market to buy souvenirs for your family & friends. You may do the photo session with the Bhutanese
traditional attire at the river bank of Paro at your own cost.

Day 7 Paro - Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek or Paro Local Sightseeing
Tiger nest hiking - After breakfast proceed for Taktsang Monastery - 'World Heritage site' trekking
It requires a 3 hours hike to reach the Monastery and 2 hours to come down to the base point. Ponies are available for
hire till the cafeteria while going.
***Note: There is no entry fee if you go hiking, up to the cafeteria.You will have a beautiful view of Tiger Nest
Monastery from there.
After Tigernest visit you can enjoy the afternoon sightseeing to the places below.
Ta Dzong , originally built as Watchtower, which now houses the National Museum. The extensive collection includes
antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons & armour, household objects and a rich
assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and
fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine
wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from
the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic mandalas.

Day 8 Paro to Siliguri - Paro to Siliguri drop Via Phuentsholing (310 KMS / 8 HRS)
After breakfast, visit the following places :
Paro Airport View: This is one of the most stunning airports in the World and also the country's first and only
international airport. With a breathtaking view, this airport became a must-visit place in Paro
Transfer to the Siliguri via the border town Phuentsholing. Complete your immigration formalities at Phuentsholing and
come to the India side. The Bhutan trip ends here . Guide will bid you good bye.
Our Indian driver will wait for you near the terminal to receive you. He will drop you at Siliguri.
